Manchester City and Liverpool are in a heated battle to sign Bournemouth’s Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo, with both clubs having agreed to the £65 million ($86.5 million) release clause in his contract.
Semenyo’s contract contains a release clause valued at £65 million, which can be triggered in January. Liverpool, led by Richard Hughes, who previously signed Semenyo for Bournemouth, are keen on securing the 25-year-old winger, while Manchester City, under Pep Guardiola, are also eager to add him to their squad.
With both clubs having matched the fee and contract offer, the decision now lies with Semenyo, who will choose his next destination. Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, believes Semenyo is ready to take the next step in his career, whether in January or summer
Other Premier League clubs, including Tottenham and Manchester United, have also expressed interest in Semenyo, but Liverpool and Manchester City are currently the frontrunners.
