(Listen) Majority Leader has strongly condemned vote-buying practices.

Majority Leader of Ghana’s Parliament, Hon Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has strongly condemned vote buying practices in the country’s politics, especially citing requests for cars and lands during elections.

He indicated that, some candidates mortgage their houses and other properties to fund their campaigned which is very bad. We should not pretend as if we do not know what is happening, he added.

According to him, if delegates and constituents do that and the person gets the nod, he or she will try to make the amount that he has lost and that will stale development.

He said we are all humans so we should stop pretending.

He called on delegates and constituents to stop demanding from their MPs and hold them accountable for development.

Speaking to the media monitored by Onokwafo Yaw Asiedu, the Member of Parliament for Suame constituency called on leadership of political parties to stop this act or it will continue to hunt all of us.
