Koomson Family Expresses Gratitude for Support Following One-Week Observance of Ellis Koomson

TEMA, Ghana, 12th September: The family of the late Ellis Koomson has expressed its profound gratitude to relatives, friends, colleagues, institutions and well-wishers for the support extended to them during his One-Week Observation at the Segeco Basketball court, Community 4 Tema.

The family, led by Abraham Koomson, Secretary General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), said the presence, prayers, comforting words, donations and other forms of support received during the period had provided the family with strength and comfort in their time of grief.

In a message of appreciation, the Koomson family said they were “sincerely grateful” to everyone who stood by them and demonstrated solidarity following the passing of their 44-year-old son.

“At a time of deep sorrow, your kindness and support brought us great comfort and strength,” the family said.

The family further assured all those who supported them of their continued appreciation and prayed for God’s blessings upon them.

Meanwhile, the official funeral of Ellis Koomson is scheduled for Saturday, October 31.

The funeral service will be held at the Methodist Church at Community 8, after which the body will be laid to rest at the Community 9 Cemetery.

Following the burial, the family will move to the Segeco Basketball Court, Tema Community 4 for the final funeral rites, where relatives, friends, colleagues and sympathisers will gather to pay their final respects to the late Ellis Koomson.

The family, through Abraham Koomson, has therefore extended its appreciation to all individuals and organisations who have supported them throughout the difficult period and appealed for their continued prayers as preparations for the final funeral rites continue.
