Ghanaian right-back Kamaradini Mamudu has officially completed his transfer to Sudanese giants Al Hilal (Al Hilal SC Omdurman), signing a three-and-a-half-year contract that will keep him at the club until 2029.
The 23-year-old defender, born on November 4, 2002, joins the Blue Wave immediately after leaving Medeama SC, where he had become one of the standout performers in the Ghana Premier League.
Mamudu, who stands at 1.76m and prefers his right foot, is renowned for his attacking flair from the defensive position. Since joining Medeama from Tamale City in July 2023, he has made a significant impact, featuring regularly and even earning call-ups to the Ghana national team Black Stars, where he has earned caps.
His goal-scoring record as a defender is particularly impressive: he netted 8 goals across the previous season in the Ghana Premier League, leading all defenders in that category.
This ongoing 2025/26 campaign saw him maintain his form, scoring 5 goals in 19 appearances before the move, including a brace in Medeama’s recent 3-1 victory over Karela United, which helped solidify their position at the top of the league table.
The move to Al Hilal represents a major career progression for the talented youngster, providing him with the chance to compete in one of Africa’s more competitive leagues and potentially in continental competitions like the CAF Champions League, where Al Hilal has a strong history.
This transfer underscores the growing interest in Ghanaian talent across the continent, marking another step up for Mamudu as he continues to build on his reputation as one of the most dynamic and goal-oriented full-backs in West African football.
