Ghanaian actor-turned-politician John Dumelo has reaffirmed his commitment to supporting local farmers after paying a working visit to tomato growers in Zebilla in the Bawku West District.
Sharing the update on social media, Dumelo revealed that he travelled from Accra to meet farmers preparing for this year’s dry season tomato farming. During the visit, he also interacted with representatives of FarmMate Africa, whom he praised for their dedication to supporting the agricultural sector.

According to Dumelo, he assured the farmers of the government’s commitment to ensuring a successful farming season by providing the necessary support and helping them secure reliable markets for their produce after harvest.
“I assured the farmers of government’s support for this year’s dry season farming and also the marketing of their produce after harvest,” he wrote.
The visit has been welcomed by many of his followers, who commended his continued interest in agriculture and his efforts to engage directly with farmers across the country.
John Dumelo has consistently championed agriculture and youth involvement in farming, making it one of the key areas of focus in both his public service and personal initiatives.
