Inaki Williams scores to Secure A Vital Draw for Athletic Club against Girona

Ghanaian forward Inaki Williams was on target for Athletic Bilbao who shared the spoils 1-1 with high-flying Gerona in La Liga on Monday night.

Williams, continuing with his fine scoring form to the season found a leveller in the 67th minute to peg back Girona after unmarked midfielder Viktor Tsygankov had given them the lead.

The 29-year-old capitalized on a loose ball at the edge of the box and scored to cancel out Tsygankov’s opener, ending Girona’s run of five consecutive wins in the league

The Ghanaian striker who scored his debut goal for the Black Stars against Madagascar during the international break, has taken his goal tally at his club side 6 goals, providing 3 assists in 14 appearances.

Bilbao is fifth on 25 points from 14 games, six points behind fourth-placed Barcelona and Atlético Madrid in third, who have a game in hand.
