I don’t care if you tag me as an 85-year-old; I know I’m young – McBrown to critics

Actress Nana Ama McBrown has responded to rumours circulating about her age, especially after fellow actress Pascaline Edwards revealed her age and frustrations with being overlooked for roles due to her age.

Edwards expressed her annoyance in an interview, stating that despite being only 53 years old, she is considered too old by some casting directors

Edwards expressed her annoyance in an interview, stating that despite being only 53 years old, she is considered too old by some casting directors.

This revelation led some to speculate that Nana Ama McBrown may also be in the same age bracket as Pascaline, despite her insistence that she is still in her forties.

Some have argued that McBrown’s long-standing career in the film industry suggests that she and Pascaline may be contemporaries.

However, McBrown has made it clear that she feels no need to validate her age to anyone. She has stated that people are free to speculate about her age however they wish.

McBrown has pointed out that she had not even begun her acting career when Pascaline was already a well-known name in the industry.

During an episode of her show, Onua Showtime, McBrown emphasized that such opinions have no impact on her life. She declared, “If you want to think of me as an 85-year-old, that’s fine by me. Ultimately, these opinions don’t affect me. They don’t diminish my bank balance in the slightest.”

McBrown’s response shows her confidence and resilience in the face of rumours and speculation.

She remains focused on her career and financial stability, no matter what others may say or think about her age.
