‘GMB Designer’ (Papa Sam Taylor) Wanted For Scam

One of TV3’s fashion designers for the just ended Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant and owner of Sam’s Designs in Cape Coast, Stephen Koufie has absconded with cloths of his clients worth several thousands of cedis.

It was learnt that Vida Ofori was misled by a live presenter mention(LPM) on TV3 during a live telecast of the just ended edition of GMB to the effect that the suspect was the brain behind the Volta Regional representative in the contest. According to the victim, she called the suspect to design some cloths for her.

Narrating her ordeal, she said, Papa Sam Taylor as affectionately referred to, asked her to meet him at Achimota Mall with the materials. ‘I handed him five different materials and added GH800.00 to purchase additional two materials plus GH2.400 for his charges’ she said.

Papa Sam Taylor was alleged to have promised to deliver in two weeks from October 25, 2017.

According to the victim, the suspect has since barred her calls. She said all attempts made to get the suspect return her materials and the money proved futile. He answers my call not, neither does he open his shop, she lamented

Waiting and hustling for several weeks, the victim reported the case to TV3 first, and subsequently to the Police where a manhunt was declared for the suspect.

A police source told ahotoronline.com that the incident happened since October this year, adding that the complainants approached the police after several attempts to get her things failed.

Ahotoronline.com following the story, spoke to Stephen Koufie who admitted wrong doing and promised to salvage his reputation, but for three weeks now, he has since his promise ignored our calls.

Anyone with dependable information about the suspect and his hiding holes, should please report to the nearest police station.
