GJA President Orders for Media Blackout for Yendi MP

President for the Ghana Journalist Association (GJA) Dr. Albert Kwabena Dwumfour has ordered the media fraternity in the country not take part in anything the Hon MP for Yendi constitution Farouk Aliu Mahama will do for raging attack on a media personnel.

According to the GJA President, he received a message from the MP issuing threat of court summons for tarnishing his image on the chaos that marred the parliamentary primaries in the NPP across the 137 constituencies in the country, Hon Farouk in his statement said he does not have a slightest idea of what the GJA is accusing him of brutalizing a media personnel.

Speaking in a media interview, Mr. Dwumfour said he’s going to sue Hon. Farouk for sending him messages that he’s going to sue him, if that’s the case why should you send me a message whiles you’ve already issued a demand notice.

He is of the view that sending him message is a threat to his life which he does not find it funny, “he stated

Finally, he said that henceforth all the media houses in the country should desist themselves from anything that has to do with Hon Farouk Aliu Mahama because it’s become one too many of a thing where the media are being brutalize and go scot free.

He also cannot fathom why he (Hon Farouk)  is walking as a free man even when the parliament was on recess.
