A few days ago, Drogba, the star of the popular TV show YOLO, made a public appeal for funds to support his health condition. It was revealed that Drogba, whose real name is John Peasah, is suffering from Demyelinating Disease. According to his sister Hannah Mensah, his health problems started during the filming of a scene in the last season of YOLO, causing him to experience double vision and light sensitivity, which makes it difficult for him to tolerate daylight or flashing lights.
Following this sad news, many kind-hearted Ghanaians have stepped forward to donate to Drogba. Vice President of Ghana and the ruling New Patriotic Party’s flagbearer, Dr. Bawumia, also visited Drogba at his home to show his support and donate towards his healthcare expenses. However, some Ghanaians have criticized Dr Bawumia’s visit, claiming that it was a ploy to gain sympathy votes in the upcoming election.
