Ghana Men’s 4×100 Relay Team Secures Qualification in Bahamas for 2024 Paris Olympic Games

Ghana’s men’s 4×100 relay team recently added their name to the list of successful qualifiers, thanks to an outstanding performance at the World Athletics Relays held in the Bahamas.

The World Athletics Relays is a crucial event in the track and field calendar, providing teams with a platform to qualify for the Olympics while facing top-notch competition. Ghana’s quartet team composed of experienced and talented sprinters who stepped up to the challenge, showcasing their speed, precision, and teamwork to secure a coveted spot at the upcoming Olympic Games.

In the relay, each athlete carries the baton for a segment of the race before handing it off to the next runner. Success in this event relies not only on speed but also on seamless baton exchanges, synchronization, and strategy. Ghana’s team excelled in all these aspects, demonstrating their readiness for the world stage.

The qualification started from talented Ibrahim Fuseini who took the first race making a time of 10.69s, perfectly changing the baton to first timer Isaac Botsio who ran a time of 9.13s , handed the baton to Ghana’s 100m record holder ,Benjamin Azamati who made a time of 9.35s and perfectly finished off the race by Joseph Paul Amoah making a time of 9.12s to book the first position in the heat 2. Ghana relay team Qualified with a total time of 38.29s .

The Ghana men’s 4×100 relay team has set their sights on making history in Paris, and the nation is ready to support them every step of the way. Their journey to the Olympics is just beginning, and the world will be watching to see how far they can go.

Arch rival Nigeria who also took part in the race making a time of 38.57s to secure qualification for the2024 Olympic games.
