GHANA ACHIEVED ZERO FINANCING IN AN ELECTION YEAR….SETH TERKPEH

Former Finance Minister in the erstwhile Mahama administration, Seth Terkpeh has congratulated Mahama for ensuring fiscal discipline to achieve zero financing in an election year.

According to him, the NDC must be proud of its election year record 2016 because the decision for the IMF program to overlapped the election was taken by the then president Mahama who said he wanted to show that we could continue with our fiscal discipline under the home grown policies even under an IMF program.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with the media, he disclosed to Ghanaians that the erstwhile Mahama administration achieved a zero financing even in an election year because the fiscal resources of the government were under firm control, so the banks were not using as much of government  resources as it was happening previously “He stated.
