GFA Boss Kurt Okraku: Black Queens Have What It Takes to Make World Cup

Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kurt Okraku is confident the Black Queens can qualify for the 2027 Women’s World Cup in Brazil.

Ghana is in Group D with Cameroon, Cape Verde, and Mali for the 2026 WAFCON in Morocco.

“We will want to be at the World Cup, and I believe Black Queens have the qualities to be at the World Cup,” Okraku said after the draw. He cited the team’s technical setup and government support as key factors.

Okraku emphasized the team’s readiness: “The head coach is very experienced to guide the girls, and I have no doubt whatsoever that we will compete and make it to the World Cup.” He acknowledged the pressure but urged focus on performance.

“The top two teams from each group will make it to the next round, and we’re aiming for that,” Okraku added. The Black Queens are based in Fes for the group stage.
