Florence Obinim Says She Is Ready for Divorce If Bishop Obinim Chooses That Path

Gospel musician Florence Obinim has publicly addressed growing speculation surrounding her marriage to Daniel Obinim, stating that she will not resist a divorce if her husband decides to end their union.

Speaking in an interview with GhPage, Florence revealed that she has spent years showing patience, humility and support in her marriage, but feels her efforts have not been fully appreciated.

According to the gospel singer, she has done her best as a wife and has entrusted the future of the marriage to God.

“I have been humble and patient with Bishop, yet he still does not appreciate the kind of woman I am. May God’s will be done. If he is ready for a divorce, then I am ready too,” she said.

Florence further disclosed that she is uncertain about what more her husband expects from her after years of marriage. She hinted at personal matters she has chosen to keep private, saying there are aspects of Bishop Obinim’s life she could discuss publicly but has deliberately remained silent about.

“If I choose to speak about certain things that concern me about Bishop’s life, it would not be pleasant,” she stated, adding that there are things she believes she is entitled to but often chooses peace over confrontation.

Despite her frustrations, Florence called on church members, junior pastors and well-wishers to pray for Bishop Obinim, stressing that he needs spiritual support during this period.

Her comments come weeks after the founder of the International God’s Way Church sparked public debate with remarks made during church services.

In one instance, Bishop Obinim stated that in the event of his death, his funeral arrangements should be handled by his church rather than his wife. He later suggested that Florence had begun associating with people he considered a bad influence.

Although the bishop reportedly maintained that divorce was not an option, his comments fueled widespread speculation about possible challenges within the marriage.
