Nollywood actress and media personality Etinosa Idemudia has opened up about her decision to undergo a Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), saying it was a personal choice made out of self-love rather than pressure from society or the desire to please men.
In a heartfelt statement, Etinosa revealed that she chose the cosmetic procedure after realising it was time to prioritise herself following years of working hard and caring for others.
“People always ask me why I did BBL. Let me be honest with you — I didn’t do it because of any man, realising do it because I prioritise. I did it for myself,” she said.
According to the actress, she wanted a body shape that reflected her confidence, personality, and how she envisioned herself.
“I looked at the mirror one day, and I said, ‘Etinosa, you work hard, you take care of everyone… it’s time to take care of yourself too.’ I wanted a shape that matches my confidence, my personality, and the way I see myself in my head,” she explained.
Etinosa acknowledged that some people may criticise her decision but insisted that everyone has the right to make choices about their own body without seeking anyone’s approval.
“Some people will talk, some will judge, but at the end of the day it’s my body and my choice. And you know me, I don’t owe anybody an apology for loving myself,” she stated.
She further stressed that undergoing a BBL did not change her personality but simply made her feel more comfortable and confident in her own skin.
Etinosa’s comments have sparked fresh discussions online about body autonomy, cosmetic surgery, self-confidence, and the growing acceptance of personal choices regarding beauty and self-expression.
