Award-winning Ghanaian gospel singer Diana Hamilton has opened up about a deeply personal health scare that strengthened her faith and inspired her latest song, God the Protector.
Speaking about the emotional experience, Diana revealed that she underwent a medical examination after doctors discovered the need to take a tissue sample for testing. She described the tense moment she entered the doctor’s consulting room to receive the results, uncertain of what the outcome would be.

According to the gospel star, her fears quickly turned into overwhelming joy when the doctor assured her that there was no trace of cancer.
“It’s good news. There’s nothing. There’s no trace of cancer. You are free. You’re good. At least we went in, we had a look, and we took a sample,” the doctor reportedly told her.
Overcome with gratitude, Diana said she immediately fell to her knees in the consulting room to worship and thank God for His faithfulness.
“I went on my knees and praised God. I worshipped my God right there in the consulting room,” she recalled.
The award-winning singer said the experience transformed her perspective and renewed her commitment to testify about God’s goodness.
“I said to God, I will not be silent. God was able to turn the results around. He’s my God, and I will sing to Him like never before. Nothing and no one can take away my joy,” she said.
Reflecting on the emotional journey, Diana added, “If you don’t know my pain, you will not understand my praise,” emphasizing that her worship is rooted in the battles God has brought her through.
Her testimony serves as the inspiration behind God the Protector, a song that celebrates God’s protection, faithfulness, and power to carry His children through life’s most challenging moments.
