Croatia Unveil Strong 26-Man Squad Ahead of 2026 World Cup Clash with Ghana

Ghana’s Group L rivals, Croatia, have officially unveiled their 26-man squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup, set to be co-hosted by the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

The tournament will feature an expanded 48-team format for the first time in history, with Ghana securing one of Africa’s nine automatic qualification spots after an impressive qualifying campaign.

The Black Stars have been drawn into a challenging Group L alongside European heavyweights England, 2018 FIFA World Cup runners-up Croatia, and CONCACAF representatives Panama.

Ghana are scheduled to open their World Cup journey against Panama before taking on England, with their final group-stage encounter coming against the experienced Croatian side.

As preparations gather momentum ahead of the global showpiece, Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalić has named a formidable squad packed with experience and quality, as the Europeans aim to make another deep run at the tournament.

Leading the squad is veteran midfield maestro Luka Modrić, the former Real Madrid and AC Milan star who remains the heartbeat of the Croatian national team.

Also included in the squad are experienced winger Ivan Perišić, forward Andrej Kramarić, striker Ante Budimir, midfielders Mario Pašalić and Marco Pašalić, as well as Manchester City defender Joško Gvardiol.

Croatia become the first nation in Group L to announce their final squad for the tournament, while Ghana, England, and Panama are all expected to reveal their selections in the coming days as excitement continues to build ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
