Medeama SC coach Ibrahim Tanko has attributed his team’s 2-2 draw against Asante Kotoko to a loss of concentration and injuries. Kotoko rallied from a 2-0 deficit to secure a point at the Baba Yara Stadium.
“We lost concentration, and I have to say that because of injuries, it was really painful,” Tanko said. “After leading 2-0, the game ended in 2-2. I mean, this is football [and] we have to go and work on our mistakes.”
Derick Fordjour and Yussif Mubarik scored for Medeama, while Peter Amidu Acquah and Samba O’Neil netted for Kotoko. Medeama remains joint top with Heart of Lions and Aduana on 23 points from 12 games, while Kotoko moves to 5th place with 21 points, tied with Hearts of Oak.
