Citizens Dissatisfied with Government Performance Following State of the Nation Address

After the President delivered the State of the Nation Address, citizens expressed dissatisfaction with the government’s performance. They voiced disappointment with the President’s presentation, citing violations of the 1992 constitution. Many felt that the statements made did not address the country’s issues and were not in the people’s best interests.

The State of the Nation Address, delivered in Parliament yesterday, aimed to update the nation on developments during the President’s seven-year tenure. While highlighting projects and emphasizing progress, the President acknowledged room for improvement and accepted responsibility for occurrences under his government.

However, citizens found the address lacking. The economy is struggling, with high unemployment rates and insufficient social amenities. Despite promises to strengthen the economy within 18 months, citizens see no tangible results and perceive a lack of market stability for businesses to thrive. They expected the President to offer innovative solutions to the economic challenges.

Moreover, citizens believe that government funds have been misappropriated, and they see excuses rather than solutions to the power crisis facing the country. They urge the government to be proactive and attentive to the country’s needs to promote stability and economic progress.
