The Confederation of African Football has officially confirmed that every club eliminated during the preliminary rounds of its Interclub competitions will receive a solidarity payment amounting to one hundred thousand United States dollars.
This measure represents a deliberate and ongoing expression of CAF’s dedication to providing tangible support for clubs across the continent, while simultaneously working to fortify the foundational structures of African football and to encourage broader participation in the organisation’s most prestigious club tournaments.
By allocating these funds specifically to teams that exit at the earliest stages, CAF ensures that financial assistance reaches a wider circle of clubs, many of which operate with limited resources and face significant challenges in sustaining competitive programmes.
