The Ghanaian women’s national football team, the Black Queens, will lock horns with Côte d’Ivoire in the first of two international friendly matches on Tuesday. The game is scheduled to take place at the Stade Père Jégo in Casablanca, Morocco. As these are closed-door preparatory fixtures, the encounter will be played without spectators in attendance.

Both nations are using the double-header to sharpen their tactics and build momentum as they gear up for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, which will be hosted in Morocco. The Black Queens have been drawn in a competitive Group D alongside Cameroon, Mali, and debutants Cape Verde.
Ghana will open their campaign against Cape Verde on 29 July, before facing Cameroon on 2 August and concluding the group stage against Mali on 6 August, all matches taking place in Casablanca. These friendlies therefore offer vital opportunities to test themselves against regional opposition ahead of what promises to be a demanding tournament schedule.
