Barbara Serwaa Asamoah confident of retaining NDC Deputy General Secretary position

Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Barbara Serwaa Asamoah, has expressed confidence in retaining her position as she prepares to contest in the party’s upcoming internal elections.

Speaking in a face-to-face interview with Kofi Citizen on Ahotor 92.3 FM’s Adekyee Mu Nsem Morning Show, she said her engagements with party officials and members, coupled with the support and feedback she had received, had strengthened her confidence in securing another term.

Ms Asamoah also defended party officials who are not frequently visible on social media, insisting that their limited online presence does not mean they are inactive or failing in their responsibilities.

She explained that some officials, particularly those responsible for finance and administration, have demanding duties that require them to work behind the scenes and remain focused on the party’s daily operations.

She maintained that party officials should be assessed based on their dedication, commitment and contributions rather than their social media visibility.

Sharing her experience, Ms Asamoah recounted the challenges she encountered when she first started working for the party, adding that the responsibilities had become easier with more people getting involved.
