Nations FC’s head coach, Kasim Ocansey Mingle, is gearing up for an enhanced performance in the upcoming Ghana Premier League season, set to begin next month. After finishing seventh in their debut season, the team is determined to climb higher in the standings this year.
Last season was a learning experience for the Abrankese-based club, with Coach Mingle leading them to a respectable seventh-place finish. As he looks ahead to the new season, Mingle emphasizes the importance of building on last year’s achievements and pushing for better results.
Reacting to the recently released Ghana Premier League fixtures, Coach Mingle stressed the significance of steady improvement regardless of the match order. “The league’s structure means that who we play first or last is not as important as consistently improving our performance,” he said. Nations FC will kick off their 2024/25 campaign with a home game against Bechem United at the Dr. Kwame Sports Complex.
Despite the departures of key players Asamoah Boateng Afriyie and Michael Awuah Mensah, who played crucial roles last season, Nations FC has bolstered their squad with several new signings. The aim is to fill the gaps and strengthen the team’s overall performance.
The team has already begun its preparations for the new season, focusing on fitness, tactics, and team cohesion. Training sessions are intense, with Coach Mingle ensuring that every player is ready to give their best when the league commences on September 6, 2024.
One of the key elements of Coach Mingle’s strategy is fostering a strong team spirit. He believes that a united squad is essential for overcoming the challenges of a long and demanding season. The players have shown great dedication in training, and the atmosphere in the camp is one of optimism and determination.
As Nations FC prepares for their second season in the Ghana Premier League, the focus is on continuous improvement. The management, players, and coaching staff are all aligned in their goal to surpass last season’s performance. With new talents joining the squad and rigorous preparations underway, the team is set to make a significant impact.
