According to Fireboy, while Afrobeats has always been vibrant, it lacked the soul and lyricism that his music brings to Nigerian mainstream Pop.
He saw this as an opportunity to introduce something new, hence the birth of Afro-Life.
Sharing insights into his upcoming fourth album slated for release later this year, Fireboy expressed that it embodies his learnings and personal growth over the past few years.
Fireboy aims to delve into personal themes and reflect on what success truly means to him through this project.
Additionally, Fireboy revealed his aspirations to collaborate with notable artists such as Nigerian Grammy winner Burna Boy, Post Malone, Travis Scott, and Don Toliver soon.
