A Political Analyst and a senior lecturer at the University of Ghana, Dr Kwame Asah-Asante has criticised assertions and claims that the vice president Dr Mahamudu Bawumia cannot be held responsible for the current economic word facing the country.
According to him, if he gets credit when government achieves something then he should equally have a share of the blame when it’s the other war round.
His comment came following statements made by the Majority leader, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu who argued that, despite being the head of the Economic Management Team, Dr Bawumia should not be blamed for current economic turmoil.
He maintained that, the vice president only plays an advisory role in economic matters.
Dr Asah-Asante in an interview with the media indicated that, that argument would not be accepted by the public.
He however highlighted the inconsistencies in attributing success to the vice president anytime it is something positive but defer responsibility when it’s a challenge.
