Jamaican reggae musician, vocalist, and songwriter cum producer, Hezron Clarke, is set to headline a concert in Ghana with other Ghanaian musicians, as part of his homecoming and Album Promotion Tour this December.
He would also have to pay a courtesy visit to the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu 11, which he has already done and other traditional leaders, visit tourist sites, all the way to live music performances at venues in Tamale, Kumasi, Takoradi and Accra as part of his plans to tour Ghana.
Hezron was born and raised during earlier years in the District of Moy Hall District, St James, Jamaica, before migrating to the USA and now back to Jamaica.
Clarke is seen as one of the finest reggae musicians with the most charismatic, consistent, outstanding performances and chart-topping reggae artists around.
As part of his Man on a Mission homecoming tour and album Promotion Tour is an eight–week event meticulously designed to honour and promote Hezron Clarke, a well-celebrated Jamaican reggae musician.
This unique event started on Wednesday, 22nd November, 2023.
He has already traced his African heritage back to the renowned Ashanti Kingdom. He is on a mission to reconnect with his roots and promote his latest album, ‘’ Man On A Mission.’’
According to Clarke, he has traced his ancestry to Ghana, and the Ashanti kingdom to be defined he disclosed this when he appeared at the Akwasidae festival where he was introduced to the the Asantehene by a royal spokesperson.
Adorned in a kente cloth, Clarke who thronged the festival grounds with his entourage, placed his request before the Asantehene to be accepted as one of the sons of the soil and he asked to be given a local name.
He has performed on numerous stages including Capelton’s St. Mary Mi Come From in 2009, Reggae Sumfest in July 2009 and 2010 (and now slated for 2011) and Hennessey Artistry in Barbados in 2010.
Hezron has a series of hit singles such as “So In Love” of “Strictly the Best Vol 41.” The album, made a significant impact on the foreign charts, particularly, on the South Florida charts and New York Top 20 where it spent 25 weeks.
The five grand music concerts would be held in four major cities including
Tamale Sports Stadium, Friday, December 1st 2023 at 7: 00 pm
Kumasi Sapphire Center, Saturday, December 30th, 2023 at 7;00 pm.
Takoradi Masquerade Festival ( Kofi Annan Street), Tuesday, December 26th, 2023 at 11; 00 Am
Accra Laboma Beach Monday, January, 1st, 2024.
Accra Pleasant Beach, Saturday, January 6th, 2024 at 7: 00 pm.
An average of Five Thousand (5000) enthusiastic music lovers are anticipated to attend each concert.
Hezron Clarke will headline the concerts and rock the stage with Samin, Fancy Gadam, Tic, Nero x, Ras Kuku, Antwi Galey of Antwi n Antwi fame, Papa Tinko and the Alhaji hitmaker, Jeff Bogolobango, from Cote D’lvoire.
