Prominent lawyer, Akoto Ampaw is reportedly dead
The learned Lawyer Akoto Ampaw represented President Akufo-Addo in the 2020 election petition.
Sources say he died in the early hours of Friday, October 20, at the University of Ghana Medical Center (UGMC).
According to available information, the lawyer has not been well since the beginning of 2023.
The late Akoto Ampaw has been described as a true human rights lawyer.
Details surrounding the cause of his passing, however, remain shrouded in uncertainty
He was renowned for his exceptional legal acumen.
He played a pivotal role as the lead lawyer representing President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo during the intense legal proceedings of the 2020 election petition.
His remarkable legal career was further underscored by his involvement in the New Patriotic Party’s legal team during the Electoral Petition of 2013.
