The University of Ghana branch of the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) says it is poised to collaborate with the government to find a lasting solution to the issue of flooding caused by spillage of water from the Akosmobo and Kpong dams.
The association noted that the university engineering department together with the appropriate bodies can devise measures to spill the water without the havoc that has happened.
The Volta River Authority (VRA) is spilling excess water from the Akosombo and Kpong dams which have led to severe flooding in communities downstream in the Eastern and Volta Regions.
