Goldfields must rescind their decision of not sponsoring Medeama SC again – Hon Mireku Duker.

The Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem, Hon George Mireku Duker has appealled to Goldfields to reconsider their decision to end sponsorship for Medeama Sporting Club.

At a press conference after the team secured a spot at the CAF Champions League, Hon Mireku Duker appealled and called on the leadership of the mining company to continue sponsoring the club.

“Goldfields Ghana must as soon as possible rescind their decision of not sponsoring Medeama again. It’s their responsibility to support Medeama, and as the MP, I want them to rescind that letter they wrote to the club. We will talk to their leadership in South Africa to see the need to sponsor Medeama.”

Medeama SC managed to win their first-ever Ghana Premier League title.

Over the weekend, Medeama SC reached the group stage of the CAF Champions League, becoming the first club to do so in 11 years.
