Steven Gerrard appointed as the new manager for Al-Ettifaq .
The former England legend, Steven Gerrard has been appointed as the new manager for Saudi Pro League side Al-Ettifaq.
The former England captain was in Saudi Arabia in June to took into potential offer but said he will not coach in the country. However, he has been finally convinced to take job at Al-Ettifaq with the club and has signed the contract.
The former midfielder is expected to be followed by high-profile players from Europe this summer.
Steven Gerrard started his coaching career at Liverpool’s U18 and U19 sides before making the great move to Rangers in Scottland where he made a name for himself between 2018 and 2021 by winning the league in his last season (2020/21).
However, his last experience was disappointing as he got sacked in less than a year at Aston Villa.
