Comfort Doyoe Cudjoe-Ghansah, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Member of Parliament for Ada Constituency has cautioned Dr. Kwabena Duffuor to halt his presidential ambitions for now.
She said the former Minister of Finance is wasting resources in contesting against former President John Dramani Mahama for the flagbearer position of the NDC.
She explained that their competition is not what is important especially when the focus should be on how to give Ghana a better government and leaders.
Speaking on Ahotor 92.3 Fm’s morning show ‘Ade Kyi Mu Nsem’, the MP stated that the two other candidates are people who have contributed immensely to the development of the NDC but unfortunately, the flagbearer position is not one for them as the country needs an experienced person to clean the mess by the ruling NPP government and John Mahama is the one for that.
Ahead of their May 13th primaries, Hon. Doyoe called on the NDC delegates to maintain all the 137 MPs of the party in parliament because they have worked hard for the party to be attractive.
Using the Speaker of Parliament position as an example, She said it is because of the hard work of the NDC MPs in parliament that was why they got that position even in opposition which has never happened before in Ghana’s political history.
