The National Chairman of the NDC Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo is calling on President Akufo-Addo to address the Nation on the direction he is taking the country, over the current economic hardships.
The Country’s economy to some is on its knees which as a result, put Ghanaians through some financial hardships.
The Government is currently seeking a $3 Billion bailout from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) which they say it could help stable the Cedi and also bring back the economy, a comment many experts oppose to.
Appearing on the ”Thursday Class”, one of the educational segments on Ahotor Fm’s morning show dubbed ‘Adi Kyi Mu Nsem’ which airs every Thursdays from 6am-10am with host Citizen Kofi Owusu, Dr. Ofosu said Ghana is currently without a direction and without a purpose.
Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo believes there’s the need for President Akufo-Addo to address the nation on his plans to safeguard the economy as he did during the outbreak of Covid-19.
” Akufo-Addo must address the nation at this point and tell Ghanaians which direction he’s currently taking Ghana, the country at this point is without direction and without a purpose! He must address the nation as matter of urgency “

Ghanaians have no choice but to pay more for goods and services, a situation that is resulting in many agitations from groups like the Ghana Union of Traders(GUTA) who locked up their shops in the Ashanti and the Greater Accra Regions protesting against the depreciation of the cedi against the major trading currencies.
Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo was optimistic that the NPP lacks the knowledge in turning the economy around as the country is heading into a ditch and the best party to rescue Ghana is the NDC .
