Ghanaian giants Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC suffered defeat in their first international pre-season game against AL Hilal Omdurman on Tuesday evening.
The Ghanaian powerhouse was beaten by the Sudanese club by a two goals margin in their clash as part of preparation ahead of the 2022-23 CAF Champions League campaign.
Lamine Gargo and Khater Awad netted the two goals for the Blue and Whites outfit as they beat the Reds from Ghana 2-0.
The Porcupines could have taken the lead inside 63 minutes through 2nd half sub-Afoakwa whose effort hit the crossbar with a shot from the halfway line.
Kotoko had other chances in the game but failed to make use of them and had to end the game with a 2-0 defeat.
They will face the club again and also play against Tanzanian Premier League giant Simba SC in their pre-season-friendly games before they head back to Ghana.
