The Ghana Football Association Borehole project was approved by World football governing body, FIFA following the decision of the Executive Council of the GFA to invest part of the Association’s FIFA Forward 1.0 programme to improve the quality of pitches and competitions via the provision of boreholes at game centres across the country.
The Sunyani Coronation Park is the latest beneficiary of the Borehole project being undertaken by the Ghana Football Association.
– The idea is to ” improve the quality of pitches and competitions via the provision of boreholes at game centres across the country.”
– The project took off at the Technical Centre of the GFA – Ghanaman Centre of Excellence where six (6) boreholes have been drilled to improve the quality of pitches at the facility.
– Two boreholes have been drilled to serve the people of Bono and the Sunyani Metropolis.
Eighty boreholes are expected to be drilled across the country with beneficiaries from the Premier League, Division One League, Women’s Premier League and some Game Centres.
