A Legal Legal Practitioner, Tasatsu Tsikata has noted that, over the time, the govt’s political will to fight corruption has been thrown to the wind.
He contends that, the President’s mantra of setting up of a special office to deal with corruption to bring to books all those found to be corrupt irrespective of the one’s political persuasion has failed as the President himself haunted the people who by the law have been mandated to assist the President Nana Addo to fight corruption.
The ace lawyer in an interview noted that, it is unfortunate that the Special Prosecutor who is to bring offenders to book could describe the President as the ‘mother serpent’ is worrying’
He said, the experience of the Special Office Prosecutor, Martin Amidu and the former Auditor General, Daniel Domelevo is a living evidence of the inability of the govt to fight corruption
In an Interview, Tsatsu Tsikata said, the failed fight against corruption is glaring to the ordinary Ghanaian.
