Techiman XI wonders poster boy Ibrahim Salifu is on the verge of joining Accra based Hearts of Oak Football Club after successful negotiations with his club.
The manager of the player, Benedict Asiedu confirmed this to Kumasi based Fox FM that the 5 time Nasco MVP winner will be joining Hearts very soon if nothing changes and negotiations with the club have been fruitful.
“Yes, Hearts of Oak is very close to getting the signature of Salifu. There are only a few issues we are thrashing out with them”.
It’s eighty percent a done deal, the only thing that could block the deal is the player travelling outside the country, because he has some offers abroad. He should have gone abroad a long time but due to Covid-19,that’s why he is still in the country”.
“Techiman 11 wonders have reached an agreement with Hearts of Oak,the rest is the player’s personal terms”
“Five clubs were pursuing Ibrahim Salifu’s signature including Asante Kotoko, Ashgold,Karela United, Dreams and Hearts of Oak”.
Ibrahim Salifu has also been invited by Black Stars coach Ck Akunnor for their AFCON qualifiers against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe.
