Blue skies trade blows with Forestry and NADMO over a ‘witch tree’.

Tension is mounting between the Amasaman Forestry commission, Nsawam Adoagyir municipal NADMO and Blue Skies Company over an attempt to cut down a Ceiba Patandra Tree at the companies guest house.

According to the Cooperate Affairs manager of the Blue skies company, Alistair Djimatey, speaking with Ahotor fm news Reporter Eric Nyarko , the tree has been natured within the area for a long while and has never in any day caused damages to residents living around. The company, out of their own will wrote to the forestry commission to access the tree which they did and stated, the tree is strong and does not poses any threat to residents.

He added just last week, a team of forestry officers came around with the Nsawam Adoagyir NADMO officers to pull down the tree because, some residents have complained that, witches and wizards leave on the tree and that, things are not going on well for them.

The company reported and stopped the move.

According to him, another set of persons from the NADMO office moved on the property without consulting the company about it, which has since raised tensions in the area.

Meanwhile, management of Blue Skies company says, till they’re duly notified and told what really is the problem for the felling of the tree, they will not allow the tree to be pulled down.
