The Deputy Ranking Member on Foreign Affairs Committee, remarked in the bulletin that, the disease has assumed a global catastrophe, in the sense that the World Health Organisation (WHO) has christened it as pandemic, which proves the potency of virus, and its dire consequences on humanity. He charged the international community to fight the disease with all zealousness, and urgency.

He urge affected countries to remain committed to their bilateral agreement and corporation in an attempt of fighting the disease.

Mr. Vanderpuije re-echoed the intensity of spread , and deadliness of the covid 19 and explained  that, Ghana’s ties with countries whose nationals have tested positive of the disease, and undergoing medical surveillance here, in the country, is the way to go, and he does not expect nothing untoward than mutual cooperation between Ghana, and her foreign counterparts in this trying moment, rather than a diplomatic brawl over maltreatment of a foreigner, which may be seen as meaningless and unproductive.

Dr Okoe Vanderpuije appeal for a more concerted approach, to bring the spread of the virus under control.
