The Small Tax Office of the Ghana Revenue Authority, Takoradi of the western region, in a latest performance review exceeded its revenue target of GH13.9 million, by collecting in sum total of GH14.2 million as at March 2019.
The feet, according to the Acting Commander Takoradi-STO, Peter Ben Baah is attributable to the Performance management system adopted by the authority to appraise the various offices on quarterly basis.
Addressing the press on this development, Mr Ben Baah indicated that some strategic measures have been put in place to enhance revenue collection so they meet their year target of GH61.2 million.
He outlined that some tax education campaigns would be vigorously pursued, as they introduce some innovations to enforce tax compliance.
