Ampem Darkoa Ladies produced another commanding display in Ouagadougou as they swept aside FC Dynamique 4-1 in the WAFU Zone B Women’s Champions League semi-final and booked a place in Saturday’s final against familiar rivals Edo Queens.
Playing at the August 4 Stadium, the Techiman-based Ghanaian champions, also known as Nana Mma, needed only sixteen minutes to take control. Top striker Milot Abena Pokuaa, on loan from Hasaacas Ladies, finished a well-weighted pass to give the favourites the perfect start and immediately impose the tempo that had carried them through an unbeaten group stage.
Rebecca Asemani added a second in the 28th minute and Gloria Adomako made it 3-0 before the interval, leaving Dynamique with a mountain to climb. The Beninese side had arrived in the last four still searching for their first goal of the tournament after a 3-0 defeat to hosts USFA and a goalless draw with ASKO; they finally found the net two minutes after the restart to make it 3-1, briefly raising the possibility of a contest. Ampem Darkoa never allowed the momentum to shift. Pokuaa completed her brace in the 66th minute to restore the three-goal cushion and settle the argument. A late penalty from Victoria Banful sailed wide, but by then the result was beyond doubt.
The victory completed a near-flawless campaign so far. Ampem Darkoa had opened the group with a 1-0 win over defending champions ASEC Mimosas, thrashed AS GNN 4-0 and then come from behind to beat Edo Queens 2-1, finishing top of Group B with seven goals scored and only one conceded.
Dynamique’s campaign ends here after they were unable to recover from that first-half surge. In the other semi-final, Edo Queens dismantled USFA 5-1, setting up a rematch of the group-stage encounter that Ampem Darkoa won. The final is scheduled for Saturday, 5 September 2026, again at the August 4 Stadium. The winner will represent WAFU Zone B at the 2026/27 CAF Women’s Champions League.
