Ghanaian reggae and dancehall artiste Aklerhhas has called on music lovers to appreciate genuine love and affection through her latest single, Wo Dor, a lovers’ rock song that celebrates love and self-worth.
The musician made this known during an appearance on Ahotor Mmre with Obaapa Janeeon Ahotor 92.3 FM, where she engaged listeners on the message behind the song and promoted the new release.
According to Aklerh, Wo Dor focuses on appreciating the love someone shows you and recognising the importance of loving and appreciating yourself.
The song, whose title means “My Love,” offers listeners a romantic and soulful sound, encouraging them to value genuine affection and the people who make them feel loved.
Released on October 19, 2026, under Revolution Records, Wo Dor marks Aklerh’s return to her reggae and dancehall roots after exploring Afrobeat with her previous singles, Amele and Good Vibes. The song features the lovers’ rock style, with mellow rhythms, soothing harmonies and melodic vocals.
Born Zebulun Aklerh Ocansey, Aklerh is known in Ghana’s music industry as the “Authentic Voice of Labadi” and has earned recognition for her contribution to the reggae and dancehall scene.
Her passion for music began at a young age, and she developed her craft through performances in Nigeria, where she sang covers of legendary reggae artistes such as Bob Marley, Peter Tosh and Morgan Heritage before deciding to focus on her own original music.
Over the years, she has released songs including Born Rich, Run D’Town, Money, Labadi Gyal featuring Jah Lead, and Only You. Her six-track Dancehall Queen EP, released in 2024, further showcased her musical identity and commitment to reggae and dancehall.
In 2025, Aklerh demonstrated her versatility by releasing Amele and Good Vibes, exploring Afrobeat and reaching audiences with a different musical direction. With Wo Dor, however, she returns to the sound that helped shape her artistic journey while offering listeners a fresh expression of her creativity.
‘Wo Dor’ is available on streaming platforms
