Ahotor 92.3 FM has joined the family, friends, colleagues and sympathisers of Ghana Federation of Labour Secretary-General, Abraham Koomson, for the one-week observation of his late son, Ellis Koomson.
The Ahotor FM delegation was led by the station’s Production Manager, Nana Dogbe, accompanied by Port Operations Assistant Nana Yaw Abbrampa and other members of the station.
The visit was a show of solidarity and support for Abraham Koomson and his family as they mourn the loss of Ellis Koomson.
Abraham Koomson is a regular panelist on Ahotor FM’s popular political programme, Yepe Ahunu, where he contributes to discussions on national issues, governance, labour matters and other topical issues.
The late Ellis Koomson was also associated with the Ghana Federation of Labour, where he served in various capacities and contributed to research, industrial relations and international affairs.
His death has been met with tributes from colleagues, friends and members of the labour movement, who have remembered him for his commitment to his work, intellectual contributions and service to workers.
The one-week observation brought together relatives, friends, colleagues and sympathisers who gathered to commiserate with the Koomson family and pay their respects to the deceased.
The final burial and interment of Ellis Koomson is scheduled for October 31, 2026. The funeral service will be held at the Methodist Church at Community 8, after which the body will be laid to rest at the Community 9 Cemetery.
Following the burial, the family will move to the Community 4 Basketball Court for the final funeral rites, where mourners will have the opportunity to pay their final respects to the late Ellis Koomson.
Ahotor FM’s presence at the one-week observation underscores the station’s relationship with Abraham Koomson and its support for him and his family during this difficult period.
