Accra Hearts of Oak have officially unveiled Nebojsa Kapor as their new head coach on a two-year contract running until 2028, marking the start of what the club has described as a new era aimed at restoring the Phobians to domestic and continental prominence ahead of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season.
The appointment, confirmed by the Board of Directors following an extensive recruitment process, comes after the departure of previous head coach Mas-Ud Didi Dramani at the end of the 2025/26 campaign, during which the side finished third.
A UEFA-licensed tactician often described as Serbian or Bosnian, Kapor brings substantial experience of Ghanaian football from earlier spells in charge of Tema Youth, Bechem United and Medeama SC.
Known for building competitive, attacking teams grounded in discipline and youth development, his progressive coaching philosophy closely aligns with the club’s long-term vision for rebuilding and achieving greater consistency.
The Board has expressed confidence in his leadership and technical competence to guide Hearts of Oak into a period of stability and success, while noting that this is the first of several technical appointments expected in the coming weeks as preparations intensify for the new season.
