"Aboa Apa Po as part of the delegation to meet the Chiefs means you lack common sense" - NDC Secretary Jabs NPP

The Ashanti Regional Deputy Secretary of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Baah Acheamfuor has taken a swipe at the New Patriotic Party(NPP) that “common sense”.

Members of the Kumasi Traditional Council on Monday directed the NPP, led by its General Secretary, Justin Frimpong Kodua, to produce Chairman Wontumi to appear before them over alleged derogatory remarks made against the Asantehene.

This follows an altercation between Mr. Antwi Boasiako and the Kokosohene, Nana Kwaku Dua, at the recent vetting of parliamentary aspirants in the Ashanti region.

Though Chairman Wontumi has denied making any such remarks, he was invited by the Traditional Council for a hearing, an invitation he failed to honor on health grounds.

But Mr. Acheamfuor believes for the party to choose a delegation that includes people like Aboa Apa Po(Owusu Bempeh) and Nana B to go and plead on behalf of their Ashanti Regional chairman means the party lacks common sense.

The Deputy NDC Ashanti Regional Secretary opined that Chairman Wontumi is feeling powerful because of his money.

He accused the loudmouth NPP Ashanti Regional chairman on Ahotor 92.3 of engaging in illegal mining(galamsey) in most parts of the Ashanti Region.

Speaking to Emmanuel Martey(Alaska De Don) on Simpieso on Wednesday 24th January 2024, Mr. Akyamfuor said the delegation sent to the chiefs is nothing but another insult to the Ashanti Chiefs.
