
Tema Oil Refinery Ltd. (TOR) received a working visit from National Petroleum Authority (NPA) CEO Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo and his management team to evaluate progress on resuming operations.
This engagement underscores the NPA’s ongoing regulatory support for TOR’s revival, ensuring alignment with national standards for operations, safety, and compliance. It also showcases robust collaboration between the regulator and refinery to advance Ghana’s downstream petroleum sector.
During the January 15 visit, Mr. Tameklo reaffirmed the NPA’s dedication. “The revival of TOR is a strategic national priority, and the Authority remains committed to providing the necessary regulatory support to ensure that operations resume in a safe, efficient, and sustainable manner,” he stated.
TOR’s management updated the delegation on readiness, rehabilitation progress, and restarted timelines. They thanked the NPA for its consistent technical guidance throughout the process.
Under Mr. Tameklo’s leadership, the NPA, has provided essential oversight and support in TOR’s recovery. Stakeholders emphasize that this partnership is vital for bolstering Ghana’s petroleum industry and cutting reliance on imported refined products.
