Emmanuel Victor Smith, Ghana’s former High Commissioner to the United Kingdom (UK), is urging his fellow Ghanaians to raise their voices against the government, which he believes is leading the country into trouble.
In a recent interview on Ahotor 92.3 FM, Mr. Smith expressed his concerns about what he sees as a lack of honesty from the government.
He accused the government of telling lies and avoiding the truth when it comes to important issues affecting the nation. Specifically, he called for transparency regarding Ghana’s power sector.
“This government is not honest. They don’t want to tell Ghanaians the truth, and things are happening that they have their reasons for doing it,” he remarked.
Smith’s call for openness and honesty in governance reflects a growing sentiment among some Ghanaians who feel disillusioned with the current administration’s handling of national affairs. He believes that it’s essential for citizens to demand accountability and transparency from their leaders to ensure the country’s well-being.
