Private Legal Practitioner Lawyer Kwame Jantuah has told the people of Ghana to be grateful to the affected areas of the Akosombo dam spillage, because if the water had breached the dam, ‘we would have all been in a precarious situation’.
According to him, as difficult as the situation is, it was a necessary evil. There is nothing we could have done with regards to the water that was coming in.
Speaking on TV3, lawyer Jantuah said there is no way at this particular moment where the country is economically not stable, there is no way we could have corrected the situation if it were to be worse than this.
He said though it is sad that this is happening in some parts of the country, its better.
Emphasizing on what the president said during his visit to the area, he said the president failed to bring the people together.
“He (the president) did not let the private sector, individuals, everybody know this is a crisis and that everybody should be part and parcel to solve”, he said.
