The Governor must go – Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere

The New Patriotic Party leadership under President Nana Addo Dankwan Akufo-Addo has lost the plot in ensuring and sustaining good governance in the country.

Looking at the economic situation and the cost of living going on in the country in his opinion he can say the president and his party are on their way out of government. He said this on Adekyee Mu Nsem morning show on Ahotor FM in Accra.

Dr. Jonathan Asante Otchere, a senior lecturer at the University of Cape Coast and a political analyst said the ongoing demonstration against the #Occupy Bank of Ghana corruption and the dismissal of Dr. Ernest Adison and his two deputies, can best be described as mismanagement and he is surprised the head of the banks in the country has stood so low in its supervision role in managing its primary role in all our financial institutions and national development.

He reiterated that it took the International Monitory Fund (IMF) and its international allied institutions to unravel this gross management, especially cutting so much money into the economy without efficient financial instruments; this he believes has led to the collapse of the economy.
Dr.Jonathan Asante Otchere opines that the demonstration is very important, to send a strong signal to the government and the economic management team, made up of Dr. Ken Ofori Atta, the Vice president, Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia, and the entire government.

He said surprisingly the head of the economic management team Dr. Bawumia has never responded to the reality going on in the country, and he believes the rot going on at the BOG; the Vice president is part of this huge scandal of financial malfeasance.
