We will build a formidable team and win trophies – Kotoko coach Narteh Ogum

The newly appointed head Coach of Kumasi Asante Kotoko Prosper Narteh Ogum has revealed that his plan is to build a formidable team in his first year at the club.

This is the second coming of Coach Prosper Narteh Ogum and during his first tenure, Dr. Ogum, led the club to their first Ghana Premier League title since the 2021/22 season.

During his unveiling ceremony at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium , Coach Ogum emphasized that one can not be at Kumasi Asante Kotoko and not think of trophies

“My first year is to put together a very formidable team that can compete both domestically and internationally,
However, you can’t be at Kotoko and not think of bringing success.”

With an impressive record of 67 points from 34 games, 19 wins , 10 draws and 5 losses , coach Ogum guided the Kumasi Asante Kotoko  to victory over Medeama for the league title.

The experienced tactician will start pre-season with the Kotoko  on Tuesday, 8th August at Beposo in the Ashanti Region.

Kotoko finished fourth in the previous campaign and will be hoping to reclaim the GPL title next season.
