Accra Great Olympics were able to maintain their premier league slot with a 2-1 victory over Nsoatreman SC in Sogakope.
Accra Great Olympics spent most of the league’s second round in a relegation battle but redeemed its “wonders” spirit to beat Nsoatreman.
The first half produced no goal, however, the second half produced three goals to the excitement of the fans at Sogakope Park.
Michael Osei gave the home side the lead in the 53rd minute before Christopher Nettey doubled the lead 9 minutes later. Walid Neymah Fuseini pulled one back in the 79th minute through a penalty to keep the visitors’ hope alive.
But that was all but a consolation for Nsoatreman as Great Olympics sealed all three points with a 2-1 win.
Olympics finished the season in 14th position with 45 points, three points of safety in the relegation zone.
